The licensed BMW Mini Cooper WRC R60 RC Car is an electric powered, radio-controlled 1/18 scale ready to run radio control model vehicle. Seeing that it is a licensed product you can rest assured that there is a lot of detail both inside and outside of the car.
This radio control car is designed for kids 8 and up. So if you are 8 years old or a hundred years old you are allowed to drive around this little rally Mini.
The Mini Cooper WRC R60 RC Car is ideal for radio-controlled hobbyists and lovers of Minis and even BMW’s. The mini has been around for a very long while – decades even – so if you have a soft spot for minis this is definitely something you should consider buying for yourself.
The car also comes with working headlights comma fog lights and rear lights as well. The front wheels can be adjusted by a small switch underneath the car to ensure that it drives in a straight line. The front wheels also have a full spring suspension. The back two wheels do not have a spring suspension however they do have the capability move up and down a little bit. This particular Mini Cooper RC model is rear wheel drive and there is a differential on the back two wheels.
Inside the car you can see a detailed dashboard, steering wheel, dolls, transmission and even Sparco racing seats. There is even a full roll cage and gas tank with pipe fittings in behind the back behind the front seats. On the outside, the car comes complete with sponsorship decals and also has the World Rally Championship logo on the roof.
There is also great detail in the wheels and the brake calipers as well. The racing rims have the Mini stamp on them and the tires also have the Michelin logo printed out and in great detail.
The Mini Cooper WRC R60 radio-controlled rally car needs four AA batteries in order to function. The remote control comes in a trigger grip form factor with a soft rubber steering wheel which has a built in spring mechanism that snaps the steering wheel into the forward position when it is let go, ensuring that the car drives forward in a straight line. There is also a trigger throttle which can be easily controlled via your index finger. The controller also requires one 9-volt battery to operate. The Licensed Mini Cooper radio controlled car can go forwards and backwards and it can turn left and right and either direction.
The controller unit has a detachable antenna which can be stored in a groove on the back side of the controller when not in use. The antenna can extend to about a foot long and it can screw into the top of the controller when you’re ready to drive your rally Mini. This particular model that I own communicates with the controller on a frequency of 27 megahertz.
As far as dimensions are concerned the BMW Mini Cooper has a width of 4 inches, a length of 9 inches and stands at about three and a half inches tall.
I would strongly recommend this as a great gift for any car enthusiast, or anyone who just loves motorsports and automobile rallies. In addition to being a great radio control car it also can double as a nice desk piece to use at work or are you home office since it is very visually appealing to the eye.
