The JXD S7800B is an Android powered video game system that is ultra portable and very powerful indeed. It comes with a lovely 7 inch touch screen that also makes it a great tablet that can easily run all of the applications that are available in the Google Play store.
The JXD S7800B also comes with a fully integrated gamepad, complete with double shoulder buttons, four (4) action buttons, a D-pad as well as two (2) analogue joysticks. This game system is specifically designed for the avid gamer who needs to be able to play emulated games as well as their favourite Android titles while on the go.
In this post I wanted to talk about how the JXD S7800 can easily play Sony Playstation 1 games as well. Simply go to the Google Play Store and download the EPSX application. After you have successfully installed it you will also need to download the Playstation 1 BIOS file. It is usually called SCPH1000.BIN and you can simply find it via any search engine like Google or Yahoo.
Install the Playstation 1 BIOS file in the root directory where the Playstation 1 emulator (EPSX) has been installed.
Next you simply install your Playstation 1 ROMs on your external microSD card, insert that card into your GPD XD and then select the directory where you installed the ROMs when you launch the GPD XD application. The application will then list the games – along with thumbnails of the game’s cover art – which you can easily start playing by simply selecting your game of choice. It is that simple.
Checkout my YouTube videos below where I showcase two of my favourite Playstation 1 games, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Einhander, that I used to play for hours back in the day. Enjoy.
