The X-Mini Max portable speakers are perfect for anyone on the go who needs a set of external speakers to use for a Powerpoint presentation, video presentation or even for hosting a small house party. Don’t let the size of these speakers fool you because these guys have packed some cool technology into these little cylinders such that you can get a decent sounding listening experience. The X-Mini speakers that I am showing in this blog post is part of a larger family of X-Mini speakers. This particular X-Mini Max is a wired set (yes, there are Bluetooth models available as well).
So let’s look at some of the features. First of all they come in a variety of sexy colors and as you can see by my choice of speakers I wanted something that I can use for parties on the go so bright orange was my pick. Each speaker comes with a power switch and a built in rechargeable battery that the manufacturers say can last for about 8 to 10 hours of usage between charges. When you are going to use the X-Mini Max speakers you turn the top portion a little bit counter-clockwise to unlock it and then you can slightly pull on both edges of the speaker cylinder to pull them apart a little bit. By extending the length of the speaker chamber you are increasing the size of the speaker enclosure which in turn will improve the listening experience. In other words, the bass, mid range and high end sound frequencies are more distinct which in turn equates to a very high quality, rich and powerful sound quality.
What I found enhanced the level of the bass is when I placed the speakers on a hard, clean and level surface. The is a distinct improvement on the level and quality of the bass.
The speakers come with a built in LED that shows you when it is turn on as well as when it is being charged. Each speaker also comes with a mail 3.5 mm audio jack attached to about 4 inches of cable that will plug into your device like a tablet or smartphone.
There is also a female 3.5 mm jack port built in as well which serves a very important purpose. You see, you can string up as many of these speakers as you like if you need more power and sound. You can also connect the speakers in either mono or stereo modes as well. Nice.
Now these retail for about twenty bucks but if you have some extra cash lying around you can spring for the wireless Bluetooth models. One thing to note, with Bluetooth speakers the battery drain will occur a bit faster when compared to its wired counterparts but the trade off is that there are also no messy wires.
Another great feature with these X-Mini speakers is that they come with a volume control built into the wires themselves. Sweet. You can get these from Amazon here.
